Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame featuring Mary Hubbell

This set of 15 works will present the composers: Beth Anderson, Bracha Bdil, Maria Collings, Ljubica Damčević, Nicole DeMaio, Carlotta Ferrari, Tomas Friberg, David Heinick, Stanley M Hoffman, Chien-Yu Huang, Kirsten Johnson, Martino Rappelli, Joyce Solomon Moorman, Hector Vera, and Marilena Zlatanou
Mary Hubbell, described in the New York Times as “a soprano with a sweetly focused tone,” holds degrees from Boston College; the University of California, Santa Barbara; the Royal Conservatory in The Hague; and a DMA from The Graduate Center of the City University of New York. An accomplished recitalist, Dr. Hubbell has performed art song and chamber music in a variety of venues, including the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC and the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. She maintains a strong commitment to new music, and she has appeared with the Manhattan Chamber Orchestra, Composer’s Voice Series, The Remarkable Theatre Brigade, and counter)induction. She has also participated in the Women Composers Festival in Hartford, CT and the Queens New Music Festival in NY. In the Netherlands, she appeared at the contemporary music venues of the Young Composer’s Festival in Apeldoorn and the Gaudeamus Festival in Amsterdam. Dr. Hubbell is a faculty member of UMass-Amherst.
