"Serenata Popular"

"Serenata Popular" was composed for a call for scores from UK pianist, William Howard. Although he did not choose this title for performance, I am glad I wrote it, as it has had a life since then.
Not knowing that I would end up being a classical composer, "Serenata Popular" uses the best pop melody I ever wrote as teenager. The song from which the melody of the present piano piece is extracted was my attempt at a pop song suite, much in the manner of "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" (Crosby, Stills, & Nash), but in my own style. As such, there are other melodies from that song of which I may yet make use. It is called "Forever," and is only available privately from me as an audio track.
