Instrumental Solo Composition of the Day, Installment 9:
"Iberian Tango" (Free Variation on Motifs from “Iberia”)
for
Piano Solo
(2012)
"Iberian Tango" was completed in 2012 for a call for scores from pianist, Stephen Porter, called "15 one-minute selections Re-Imagining Debussy for Stephen Porter" presented by Composer's Voice and Vox Novus. http://www.voxnovus.com/15_Minutes_of_Fame/featuring/Stephen_Porter/Re-Imagining_Debussy/
While "Iberian Tango" was not chosen for performance by Mr. Porter, it nevertheless remains one of my favorite miniatures and, to the best of my knowledge, still awaits a premiere performance.
