Composed for Drew Joseph Hosler in 2023, MARKING TIME is a fun, “athletic” piece for tenor saxophone solo. Loosely speaking, this work has a plot: think of someone pacing around waiting for something to happen and, after dwelling on two distinctly different subjects, it finally does.
