"Four Songs for Soprano Solo"

I composed "Four Songs for Soprano Solo" for a call for scores from the 15 Minutes of Fame Concert Series presented by Composers Voice/Vox Novus/Robert Voisey. The call for scores is for "arias" from four different soprano soloists. Sopranos Mary Hubbell and Jenny Ribeiro performed "Lament" and Say To the Young Man respectively in 2024. To the best of my knowledge, My Love was not selected for performance by Keri Lee Pierson, and all composers who responded to the call for scores by soprano Annie Gill are still awaiting her decision, as do I for my submission, Place a Glass In my Hand.
All texts are translated by me from Hebrew into English. Here is the poet-related information about each song.
1. Behold, the sun at twilight time - text by the 11th century poet, Solomon Ibn Gabriol.
1a. Lament - ibid.
This title is comprised of music that is excerpted from Behold, the sun at twilight time, namely from the pickup bar to the quarter note rest in measure 11.
2. My Love - text by Immanuel of Rome (1261–ca. 1335).
3. Place a Glass In my Hand - Anonymous ancient Hebrew text.
4. Say To the Young Man - text by the 11th century poet, Solomon Ibn Gabriol.
