Orchestral Arrangement of the Day, Installment 16:
"To a Wild Rose"
(Edward MacDowell, 1896 [Piano])
Arranged for Oboe, Clarinet in A, and String Orchestra
(2009)
As I stated in my posting from yesterday about my orchestral arrangement of Erik Satie's famous "Gymnopédie No. 1", my goal in arranging Edward MacDowell's best known composition, "To a Wild Rose", was to keep my arrangement as simple as I possibly could. Again, happily, this arrangement is also published by my primary publisher and past employer of 23 years, ECS Publishing Group, under the Catalog Numbers 7.0692-94. I hope you enjoy my arrangement of "To a Wild Rose". Thank you for your time and attention.
